Keywords:
Team Management, Multigenerational Workforce, Public SectorAbstract
This academic article aims to study: 1. To examine the concepts and characteristics of generational differences, 2 To analyze the impacts of generational differences on public organizations, and 3. To propose appropriate approaches for managing multigenerational teams within the context of the Thai bureaucratic system. The study was conducted through a review and synthesis of academic literature, books, journal articles, and related research. The findings indicated that each generation, including Baby Boomers, Generation X, Generation Y, and Generation Z, possessed distinctive characteristics in terms of values, work behaviors, communication patterns, and technology use. These differences affected team management, internal communication, adaptation to digital government, and the operational effectiveness of public organizations. Effective management of multigenerational teams should emphasize fostering an open organizational culture, creating a psychologically safe work environment that encourages employees to express their opinions, promoting two-way communication, applying transformational leadership, and enhancing digital competencies. These approaches can strengthen collaboration among employees from different generations and support the effective transformation of public organizations toward digital government
