Abstract

This research work aimed:  1. To design and develop a learning model that enhances innovative and entrepreneurial skills and 2. To compare the model's effectiveness in developing students into innovators and entrepreneurs. This initiative was designed to address Generation Z's concerns regarding the lack of flexibility and practical application in the education system. The study employed an experimental research design. The sample, selected through purposive sampling, consisted of 50 first-year students from the Faculty of Business Administration at Panyapiwat Institute of Management, who had no prior startup training experience. The developed innovation model, named the "InnoBiz Model," integrated Design Thinking, Lean Canvas, and the Business Model Canvas. It was driven by an Active Learning approach encompassing four stages: INSIGHT, NOVELIZE, NURTURE, and OPPORTUNITY. The research instruments included a 5-level rating scale questionnaire, pre-test and post-test assessments, interview forms, and focus group discussion guidelines. Data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, Dependent Sample t-test, and content analysis.

Quantitative results revealed that students' post-learning innovative and entrepreneurial skills (mean score = 111.24) were significantly higher than their pre-learning scores (mean score = 69.14) at the 0.05 level of statistical significance. Qualitative results indicated that students successfully engaged in hands-on learning (Learning by Doing), enabling them to concretely build prototypes, deliver business pitches, and practically apply business models. Ultimately, the "InnoBiz Model" demonstrated its efficiency as an innovation ecosystem that can be implemented to elevate higher education in sustainably cultivating new-generation innovators and entrepreneurs.
