Participation of the New Generation in Local Development of Bang Phun Subdistrict Municipality, Mueang Pathum Thani District, Pathum Thani Province

Abstract
This research objectives were 1) to study the level of participation of the new generation in local development of Bang Phun Subdistrict Municipality, Mueang Pathum Thani District, Pathum Thani Province, and 2) to compare the participation of the new generation in local development of Bang Phun Subdistrict Municipality, Mueang Pathum Thani District, Pathum Thani Province. It was quantitative. The population was 8,743 people, aged 18-40 in Bang Phun Subdistrict Municipality, Mueang Pathum Thani District, Pathum Thani Province. The sample was 367 people. The formula of Krejcie and Morgan was used. The stratified sampling method was used. The research instrument was a questionnaire. The reliability was checked by finding the Cronbach's alpha coefficient. The statistics were percentage, mean, standard deviation. The hypothesis was tested using t-test and F-test (One-way ANOVA).
The research results found: 1) the level of participation of the new generation in local development of Bang Phun Subdistrict Municipality, Mueang Pathum Thani District, Pathum Thani Province, overall and in 4 aspects, namely: In terms of operational planning ( = 3.42), plan implementation (
= 3.38), monitoring and control (
= 2.86), and evaluation (
= 2.68) were moderate and participated in local development of Bang Phun Subdistrict Municipality. Another aspect was the problem identification and caused of the problem (
= 3.66) was at a high level; and 2) the comparison participation of the new generation in local development of Bang Phun Subdistrict Municipality, Mueang Pathum Thani District, Pathum Thani Province with different genders, ages, and occupations overall and in each of the 5 aspects without any difference. When considering the level of education of the new generation, it was found that the participation in local development in operational planning was significantly different at the .05 level.
