Abstract

This research objectives were: 1) to examine a virtual learning environment based on the constructivist learning theory, 2) to design and develop a learning model based on the constructivist learning theory in virtual learning environment, and 3) to evaluate learning achievement and analytical  thinking on an anatomy and physiology course in virtual learning environment (VLE). The sample in this research were 120 nursing students at Boromarajonani colleage of nursing, suphanburi. They was selected by a simple random method. The instruments for collecting data was a CARE learning model and a knowledge and analytical thinking evaluation. Analysis data by descriptive statistic and T-test statistical analysis with reliability at 95% (α = 0.05) and content analysis was conducted for a qualitative data.

Research results showed that; 1) the CARE model that was developed in this research has  4 main elements; 1.conductive to learning support, 2. Application of idea 3. Reconstruction and 4. evaluation. 2) The model were evaluated by 13 experts and the effectiveness was highest (x̄ = 4.62) and the effectiveness of model is 85.33/88.88, and       3) there were significantly difference between learning score and analytical thinking of nursing students after learning with the model with statistical significance level 0.05. Inconclusion, The CARE model can enhance knowledge and analytical skills in nursing students and it can be used as learning model for nursing curiculum.
