Transformational Leadership Factors Influencing School Effectiveness in Bang Krathum District

Abstract
The purposes of this research were to: 1) study the level of transformational leadership, 2) explore the level of school effectiveness in Bang Krathum District, 3) examine the correlation between transformational leadership and school effectiveness in Bang Krathum District, and 4) investigate the transformational leadership factors influencing school effectiveness in Bang Krathum District. Regarding the population and sample used in this study, the research population consisted of 23 schools in Bang Krathum District under the Phitsanulok Primary Educational Service Area Office 2. The sample comprised 132 participants, including school administrators and teachers, determined by using the Krejcie and Morgan sample size determination table. The instrument used for data collection in this research was a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire. Statistics used for data analysis included frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis using the Enter method.
The research findings revealed that: 1) transformational leadership, both overall and in each aspect, was at the highest level ( = 4.50, S.D. = 0.50); 2) the effectiveness of schools in Bang Krathum District, both overall and in each aspect, was at the highest level (
= 4.54, S.D. = 0.32); 3) the transformational leadership and school effectiveness was overall positively correlated at a relatively high level (r = .703) with statistical significance at the .01 level; and 4) all 4 aspects of transformational leadership could jointly predict the effectiveness of schools in Bang Krathum District by 91.8%. The raw score equation obtained was Mean_Etotal = .024 + 0.426II_total + 0.290IM_total + 0.280IS_total - 0.008IC_total. At the same time, the standardized score equation was ZMean_Etotal = 0.471ZII_total + 0.281ZIM_total + 0.281ZIS_total - 0.028ZIC_total.
