Abstract

This research article aimed to 1) examine the practice of the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy among teachers and school administrators under the Office of Saraburi Primary Educational Service Area 2; 2) compare the practice of the philosophy between teachers and school administrators; and 3) investigate factors influencing the successful implementation of the philosophy among these groups. This mixed-methods research targeted teachers and school administrators in the Saraburi Primary Educational Service Area 2 during the 2023 academic year, including 26 administrators and 282 teachers, totaling 308 participants. Data were collected using a five-point Likert scale questionnaire with a reliability coefficient of 0.919. Data analysis involved calculating means, standard deviations, t-tests, one-way ANOVA, Fisher’s pairwise comparisons, and content analysis.

The results showed the following: 1) The overall practice of the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy by teachers and school administrators was at a high level. Among the dimensions measured, the highest scores were found in the area of facilities, followed by personnel development, while the academic dimension scored at a moderate level. 2) When comparing the practice of the philosophy between teachers and school administrators based on position, school size, gender, age, educational level, income sufficiency, marital status, and family size, no significant differences were found. However, differences were statistically significant at the 0.05 level when comparing those who had received training on the philosophy versus those who had not. 3) Factors influencing successful practice of the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy among teachers and school administrators were identified as internal factors and external factors, indicating that both personal and environmental elements play critical roles in effective implementation.
