The Relationship between the Administrator’s Competency and Quality Education of School in Mueang Mae Hong Son District under the Mae Hong Son Primary Educational Service Area Office 1

Abstract
This research aims to achieve three objectives: (1) to study the competencies of school administrators, (2) to examine the quality of education in schools, and (3) to investigate the relationship between administrators' competencies and the quality of education in schools. The sample group consisted of 181 teachers from schools in Mueang Mae Hong Son District, selected through simple random sampling. This study employed a mixed-methods research approach. The research instrument was a questionnaire, and the data were analyzed using percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Pearson’s correlation coefficient.
The research findings revealed that: 1. The overall competency level of school administrators was high (Mean = 4.49, S.D. = 0.60). Among the different aspects, personnel capacity development had the highest mean score (Mean = 4.61, S.D. = 0.53). 2. The overall quality of education in schools was also at a high level (Mean = 4.47, S.D.= 0.60). Among the different aspects, the quality of educational management had the highest mean score (Mean = 4.60, S.D. = 0.50). 3. The relationship between school administrators' competencies and the quality of education in schools in Mueang Mae Hong Son District, under the jurisdiction of the Mae Hong Son Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, was found to be a moderately positive correlation at a statistically significant level of .01.
