Strategy School Administration in the Era of Disruption to Improve Educational Quality in Private Schools in the Northeastern Region

Abstract

This research and development study aimed to 1) investigate foundational data for creating a management strategy for educational institutions in times of disruption to enhance the quality of education in private schools in Northeastern Thailand. The sample comprised 311 private school administrators selected through stratified random sampling, with an additional nine purposively selected administrators providing environmental data; 2) Develop the management strategy with input from nine purposively selected experts; 3) Pilot test the strategy with ten volunteer private school administrators; and 4) Evaluate the strategy with ten purposively selected private school administrators. Research instruments included questionnaires on current conditions (reliability = 0.87) and desired conditions (reliability = 0.92), interviews, points for connoisseurship seminar, feasibility questionnaires, tests, behavioral questionnaires, and questionnaires assessing propriety, utility, and satisfaction. Data analysis employed percentages, means, standard deviations, needs assessments, and relative development scores.


The findings revealed that 1) The current condition was at a moderate level, while the desired condition was at the highest level, with digital learning culture identified as the highest priority need; 2) The developed strategy comprised six components, namely vision, mission, objectives, strategic issues, strategy implementation, and strategy control, and was rated as highly feasible; 3) The pilot group achieved an average relative development score of 74.14, demonstrating high development, with post-development behaviors significantly higher than pre-development; and 4) The strategy was evaluated of high propriety, utility, and satisfactory by participants.
