Guidelines for Developing Mham Product Business of Small Entrepreneurs in Chaiyaphum Province

Abstract
This research article aims to study: (1) the business operations of Mham product entrepreneurs in Chaiyaphum Province, (2) the level of problems in operating Mham product businesses, (3) a comparison of the problems in Mham product business operations, and (4) guidelines for developing Mham product businesses. This study employs a quantitative research approach supported by qualitative research. The sample group consists of 50 small-scale entrepreneurs producing and selling Mham in Chaiyaphum Province, selected through stratified and purposive sampling. The research instruments used are questionnaires and interviews. The content validity assessment indicates that the instruments align with the research objectives and are highly appropriate. The statistical methods used for data analysis include frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and content analysis.
The research findings indicate that: (1) The business operations of Mham product entrepreneurs in Chaiyaphum Province include the following: the types of Mham products produced and sold are " Mham khor" (beef tendon Mham), " Mham nua" (beef Mham), and " Mham pok" (pork Mham). The monthly production volume does not exceed 1,000 pieces. Most businesses have been operating for over 15 years and rely primarily on direct marketing (in-store sales). The monthly revenue from Mham product sales ranges between 30,001–40,000 baht, with the majority of businesses located in Khon Sawan District. (2) Small entrepreneurs face significant business operation problems, with production issues being the most prominent, followed by raw material issues, while management issues are the least significant. (3) When comparing the levels of operational problems among small-scale Mham product entrepreneurs, most factors show no significant differences, except for business operation duration, distribution channels, monthly sales revenue, and business location, which show statistically significant differences at the 0.05 level. (4) The suggested business development guidelines include collaborating with government agencies to improve raw materials and pricing, adapting products to market trends, seeking government funding efficiently, training employees to enhance skills and efficiency, and developing strategic planning skills.
