Development of a Construction Model and Utilization of Biodiversity Wisdom in Temples and Communities in Prachin Buri Province

Abstract

This research aimed to: 1) To study the wisdom derived from the biodiversity of temples and communities in Prachinburi Province. 2) To study the creation and application of wisdom from the biodiversity of temples and communities in Prachinburi Province. 3) To develop a model for creating wisdom from the biodiversity of temples and communities in Prachinburi Province. The research employed a research and development approach, using descriptive research and in-depth interviews. It included both documentary study and field study. Conduct data analysis through content analysis.


The research findings were as follows: 1. The study on the model of creating wisdom from biodiversity found that it can be divided into 3 levels: initial, intermediate, and advanced levels. Each level focuses on developing 4 main areas: individual development, career development, community development, and performance management. The initial level emphasizes building basic knowledge, skills, and natural resource conservation. The intermediate level focuses on adding product value, developing technology, and building networks. The advanced level emphasizes innovation development, market expansion, and sustainability. This model helps communities utilize biodiversity and local wisdom to sustainably develop their economy and quality of life. 2.The utilization of biodiversity-based wisdom in temples and communities of Prachinburi Province is also structured into three levels. The foundational level focuses on providing basic knowledge, training, and promoting the use of herbal remedies in daily life. The intermediate level emphasizes product development, value addition, and market expansion. The advanced level prioritizes innovation, brand creation, and long-term sustainability. This model encompasses a wide range of activities, including conserving natural resources, developing herbal products, promoting health and eco-tourism, and building networks and collaborations with external organizations. These efforts enable communities to effectively leverage biodiversity and local wisdom for sustainable economic development and an improved quality of life. 3.The analysis of the model of creating wisdom from biodiversity revealed 3 levels developing the 4 main areas. The initial level focuses on building basic knowledge and conservation, the intermediate level on adding value and building networks, and the advanced level on developing innovations and sustainability. This model enables communities to utilize biodiversity and local wisdom for sustainable economic and quality of life development.
