Abstract

The research article titled Peace Innovation for New-Generation Leaders to Enhance Organizational Engagement" employs a mixed-method research approach. The study aims to achieve two main objectives: (1) to examine the current issues and the essential needs for developing new breed leaders who enhance organizational engagement, and to analyze modern theories and Buddhist peace methods that support the development of new-generation leaders in enhancing organizational engagement, and (2) to develop and present the peace innovation for new-generation leaders to enhance organizational engagement. The research employed a mixed-method experimental design, utilizing qualitative data collection tools including (1) open-ended questionnaires with two key informant groups, personnel responsible departments and executives of Krung Thai Bank, totaling 43 individuals, and (2) focused group discussions with six experts. Quantitative data were gathered through a practical training experiment with 44 organizational leaders from Krung Thai Bank, using a questionnaire to assess new-generation leader characteristics for enhancing organizational before and after the experiment. This was complemented with qualitative data from observation, reflective thinking, group activities, lesson learned sessions, and on-the-job training follow-ups. Quantitative data were analyzed using t-test statistics, while qualitative data were analyzed through inductive methods.

The research findings reveal that: 1) Organizations need new-generation leaders to enhance engagement. 2) Transformational leadership, modern theories, and Buddhist peace principles are key concepts in developing these leaders' competencies. 3) Peace innovation of the new-generation leader method, involving training and on-the-job learning, significantly improves the competencies of participating leaders.
