Development of a Non-Formal Education Program to Enhance the Ability of Evaluators to Evaluate Internal Educational Quality at the Curriculum Level of Kasetsart University

Abstract

The research article aimed at developing a non-formal education program to enhance the ability of evaluators to evaluate internal educational quality at the curriculum level. The study used a developmental research strategy, using Boyle's institutional programs and self-learning approaches. The sample used for the study included 25 evaluators for evaluating the educational quality at the curriculum level of Kasetsart University, who were selected using purposive sampling. The tools used were a questionnaire and test. The statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation.


From the study, the following results were found: 1) The development of a non-formal education program to enhance the ability of evaluators to evaluate internal educational quality at the curriculum level at Kasetsart University includes the following components: (1) defining the target group; (2) determining the content; (3) developing learning plans; (4) implementing and experimenting with the outcomes; and (5) evaluating the program outcomes. 2) The learning achievements of self-learning through online media, which consists of three clips—'Curriculum in Educational Management Centered on Outcome-Based Learning (OBE),' 'Bloom's Taxonomy Learning Theory,' and 'Constructive Alignment'—revealed that post-test scores were higher than pre-test scores. 3) The evaluators' satisfaction with the development of a non-formal education program aimed at enhancing their ability to evaluate internal educational quality at the curriculum level at Kasetsart University was rated at the highest level, with a mean score of 4.57.
