Abstract

The research article consisted of the following objectives: 1) to investigate Thai youth literacy on sustainable development goals; 2) to develop lifelong learning innovations to enhance Thai youth’s literacy on sustainable development goals; 3) to evaluate lifelong learning innovations to enhance Thai youth’s literacy on sustainable development goals; and 4) to explore the satisfaction of Thai youth’s on lifelong learning innovations to enhance their literacy on sustainable development goals. The study employed a mixed-methods research design. The sample group included 515 Thai youth aged 15-24 years. A separate sample group of 30 individuals was used to experiment with lifelong learning innovations. The tools used for the study were a form for evaluting literacy and lifelong learning innovations, literacy test, and satisfaction survey on lifelong learning innovations. The statistics used were frequency, mean, standard deviation, t-test, and content analysis.

From the study, the following results were found: 1) Thai youth’s literacy on sustainable development goals was lowest for Goal 7, which focuses on ensuring access to reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all; 2) The development of lifelong learning innovations to enhance Thai youth's literacy on sustainable development goals includes knowledge-based comic books and board games; 3) The evaluation results from using lifelong learning innovations to enhance Thai youth's literacy on sustainable development goals revealed that the sample group's post-test scores (equation  = 11.97, S.D. = 0.99) were higher than their pre-test scores (equation  = 7.37, S.D. = 1.97). A t-test comparison showed a statistically significant difference at the 0.05 level; and 4) The satisfaction results from a sample group regarding lifelong learning innovations to enhance Thai youth's literacy on sustainable development goals indicated the highest level of satisfaction (equation  = 4.78, S.D. = 0.45). When analyzing each aspect, it was found that lifelong learning innovations most effectively promoted and motivated the acquisition of new knowledge (equation  = 4.87, S.D. = 0.35).
