Development of Instructional Course on Basic Cutting Patterns for Vocational Certificate Program at Thonburi Vocational College

Abstract

This research aimed at the following: 1) to five the efficiency of instructional Course on Basic Cutting Patterns for Vocational Certificate Program at Thonburi Vocational College; 2) to compare academic achievement by instructional materials for Basic Clothing Construction; and 3) to investigate student satisfaction toward instructional materials for Basic Clothing Construction Course on Basic Cutting Patterns for Vocational Certificate Program at Thonburi Vocational College. The sample included 20 vocational certificate students majoring in Home Economics at Thonburi Vocational College, taking a Basic Clothing Construction Course in the 1 semester of academic Year 2023 selected by Purposive Sampling. The research instruments included an instructional material quality assessment, a practical skill assessment form, and a questionnaire assessing student satisfaction. The statistics included mean, standard deviation, and t-test.


The results were as follows. 1) The efficiency of instructional Course on Basic Cutting Patterns was 80.75/85.42; 2) From comparing the academic achievement of the Basic Clothing Construction Course on Basic Cutting Patterns, the posttest was higher than the 50 percent criteria with a statistical significance of .05; and 3) The student satisfaction toward instructional Course on Basic Cutting Patterns was at a high level with equation = 4.23 and S.D. = 0.25.
