The research article consisted of the following objectives: 1) to compare the learning achievements; 2) to investigate the reading comprehension skills by using OK5R teaching method with CIRC technique between the post-test and the set criterion of 70 percent; and 3) to explore students’ satisfaction. A quasi-experimental design was used in the study. The research instruments were: 1) learning achievement test; 2) exercise; and 3) satisfaction survey. The sample group included 28 students from the 5th year elementary students from Wat Suthirujiraram School who were selected via cluster random sampling. The obtained data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation and t-test.

From the study, the following results are found: 1) The investigation of the pre-test and post-test of the learning achievements of the OK5R teaching method with CIRC technique shows that the post-test is higher than the pre-test with a statistical significance of .05; 2) The investigation of reading comprehension skills by using OK5R teaching method with CIRC technique between the post-test and the set criterion of 70 percent reveals that students have reading comprehension skills at 25.79 percent, which is higher than the set criterion of 70 percent with a statistical significance of .05; and 3) When examining student satisfaction with the arrangement of learning activities in Thai subject using the OK5R teaching method with CIRC technique, the results show that students’ satisfaction has overall the highest level of mean.
