Development of Analytical Thinking and Learning Achievement of Mathayomsuksa 4 Students on the Unit of Work and Energy by Using STAD Technique with Graphic Organizers
Main Article Content
Abstract
The purposes of this research were to: 1) develop and find efficiency of lesson plans using STAD technique with graphic organizers on the unit of work and energy for Mathayomsuksa 4 students to meet the criterion set of 80/80, 2) study and compare students’ analytical thinking before and after learning intervention, 3) compare students’ learning achievement before and after learning intervention and, 4) examine satisfaction of students toward STAD technique with graphic organizers. This research is experimental research. The samples obtained through cluster random sampling were 40 students, Mathayomsuksa 4 at Buakhao school under the Kalasin provincial administrative organization in the second semester of academic year 2022. The instruments used for research were 1) lesson plans using STAD technique with graphic organizers, 2) analytical thinking test, 3) learning achievement test, and 4) questionnaire of satisfaction. The statistics used for data analysis included percentage, mean, standard deviation, and t-test for dependent samples.
The research findings were as follows: 1) The lesson plans using STAD technique with graphic organizers of Mathayomsuksa 4 students had the efficiency of 80.87/80.92 which was higher than the set criteria of 80/80. 2) The learning management using STAD technique with graphic organizers on the unit of work and energy students were able to do group activities which made the students exchange knowledge, help each other and have analytical thinking. 3) Learning achievement by using STAD technique with graphic organizers after learning intervention was significantly higher than that of before the .01 level of significance. and 4) The students’ satisfaction toward the STAD technique with graphic organizers was at the highest level ( = 4.65, S.D. = 0.49).
