The research article consisted of the following objectives: 1) to examine the knowledge management about natural landscapes in Thung Salaeng Luang communities; 2) to analyze the guidelines for the development of natural landscapes through knowledge management in Thung Salaeng Luang communities; and 3) to present the guidelines for the development of natural landscapes through knowledge management in Thung Salaeng Luang communities in Phisanulok Province. The study employed a qualitative research method through interviewing with 30 local actors and focus group discussions with 10 persons.

From the study, the following results were found: 1) Thung Salaeng Luang Communities are divided into four groups namely, community located within the district, community located in the bordering areas of the national park, community located in the temporarily permitted area, and community located in the forest reserve. According to section 16, the community has a social movement in which a body of knowledge has been transmitted and shared, which is used for the observation, protection, and development of knowledge management process of natural landscapes; 2) Important components of development include the strength of the community economy, the learning society, knowledge and its dissemination; and 3) The SWOT analysis of internal and external factors, including the synthesis of a TWOS matrix, was carried out in order to identify important components towards strategic success factors, so that the development of natural landscapes through knowledge management can be used as a strategic model or components that are important for implementation. As a result, 7 aspects and 47 development strategies were identified, which can be arranged in the appropriate order for implementation. This corresponds to Buddhist teachings such as Iddhipāda (the four paths of accomplishment) and Paññā (three kinds of wisdom). Iddhipāda includes chanda (aspiration to determine knowledge), viriya (effort to create and seek knowledge), citta (dedication to systematically organize knowledge) and vīmaṃsā (exploration and examination of knowledge). Paññā consists of 3 types namely, cintāmaya-paññā (wisdom resulting from reflection and can enhance access to knowledge), sutamaya-paññā (wisdom resulting from study and can promote knowledge sharing), and bhāvana-paññā (wisdom resulting from mental development and can promote the lifelong learning for Thung Salaeng Luang Communities).
