A sample group consists of members of the youth council and subdistrict youth who have experienced in hosting radio programs or organizing creative activities to develop local youth in the area of 9 provinces of the lower northern region. A sample group was acquired from the purposive sampling of 8 key informants from each province, in a total of 72 persons and 27 subdistricts. The data collection employed the focus group discussion together with the content analysis. The findings found the following results: 1. Youth, as a content receiver, are interested in contents that are news and based on facts such as local news, national news, contents on sex education, and contents promoting the life skills in various aspects such as social skills, environment, education and cultures. The said contents are related to youth’s lifestyle as it raises awareness of social trends. Moreover, receiving contents on sex can encourage awareness on problems and prevention of teenage pregnancy among youth. The youth are also interested in receiving entertainment contents such as fictional horror stories based on imagination and listening to trendy songs for pleasure; 2. Youth, as a content sender; the study found that program contents on teenage pregnancy are forwarded since it is one of the social issues which have been campaigned and collaborated with the national youth network named DJ TEEN. In addition, the youth have forwarded the contents that help to communicate within the communities enhancing understanding and cooperation. However, the decision on publicity of contents relies on program schedule, information resources, program script as well as trending songs among audience in the communities. The communication as both a content receiver and a sender has given rise to a body of knowledge on the youth’s behavior on using radio media to encourage people in the community to take part in developing and solving community problems.
