The Construction Business Management in Muang District, Nakhon Pathom Province

Abstract

The research article consisted of the following objectives: 1) to study the general information of construction business operators; 2) to compare the factors of operators’ characteristics and characteristics of the business that were different in opinions towards the construction business management in Muang district, Nakhon Pathom province. The study was a survey research by studying a sample group of 100 construction business operators in Muang district, Nakhon Pathom province, by means of purposive sampling. The research instrument consisted of a rating scale survey. The statistics used were average, standard deviation (S.D.), f-test, and analysis of variance (ANOVA). The research results revealed as follows: 1) The operators’ opinions towards the construction business management overall were at a high level. When considering each aspect, it was found to be at a high level in all aspects. The highest level was the aspect of personnel arrangement for work, followed by the aspect of control, the aspect of giving orders, the aspect of organizational management, and lastly, the aspect of planning. 2) From studying the comparative analysis of the level of operators’ opinions towards the construction business management classified by the same gender, age, education level, income per month, work experience, position, duration of the construction business operation, and number of employees or staff, it was found that most of the operators did not have different opinions on the construction business management in Muang district, Nakhon Pathom province, whether it was the aspect of organizational management, the aspect of personnel arrangement for work, the aspect of giving orders, or the aspect of control. Except for those operators who were different in gender that they had different opinions on the aspect of order.
