The Sufficiency Economy Philosophy and Mobilizing Sub-District Public Training Unit in the Social Development Based on Buddhist Integration Under the Driven According to the Civil State

Abstract

This research article with the action research method aimed at presenting the application of sufficiency economy philosophy and mobilizing sub-district public training unit in the social development based on the Buddhist integration under the driven according to the civil state. The study was conducted by means of in-depth interviews with 25 key informants, focus group discussions with 9 experts, and the workshop arrangement under the leaders of a sub-district public training unit with 100 persons. The content analysis in a descriptive method was also employed. The research results revealed as follows: 1) The enhancement of the development for people to observe the precepts or train in higher morality through the development of morality and culture refers to the enhancement of the project on the communities observing the five precepts, the project on moral teaching monks inside and outside school, the mobilization of Health Charter for Buddhist Monks based on the training program of phra gilānupatthāka (nursing monks), the project on Buddhist agriculture and agricultural processing, and the project on “temple, people, state” to build happiness. 2) The enhancement of the development for people to cultivate concentration or train in higher concentration is conducted through the development of enhancing happiness and peace by means of enhancing the project on a wealthy and peaceful community, a project on sharing and helping bedridden patients and those underprivileged, and a project on filial heart of Thai youth. 3) The enhancement of the development for people to cultivate wisdom or train in higher wisdom through the development of education welfare by means of enhancing and mobilizing the “Boonnithi for education” fund in order to fundraise and give scholarship to monks, novices, the villager’ children.
