A Guideline for Developing the Management of the Processed Rubberwood Business Operators in the Upper Southern Region

Abstract
The research article consisted of the following objectives: 1) to study the conditions of business operations, the characteristics of business operators, the management and methods for developing the management of processed rubberwood business operators; 2) to compare the management of processed rubberwood business operators classified by the conditions of business operations; 3) to analyze the correlation between the characteristics and the management of business operators; 4) to analyze the management factors of business operators influencing the methods for developing the management of business operators; and 5) to present a guideline for developing the management of the processed rubberwood business operators. A sample group consisted of the processed rubberwood business operators in the upper southern region, in a total of 315 companies. The research results revealed as follows: many businesses are small-sized with an employment size of not more than 50 persons. The characteristics of processed rubberwood business operators had opinions at a high level ( = 3.91, SD. = 0.34). While the management of processed rubberwood business operators in the upper southern region was found to be at a high level ( = 4.02, SD. = 0.32) and the methods for developing the management of processed rubberwood business operators were at a high level ( = 3.84, SD. = 0.38). The operators had different opinions toward the management of processed rubberwood business operators in every aspect with statistically significant at the 0.05 level and a correlation in the same direction overall found to be at a moderate level (r=0.616), while each aspect had a correlation level of 0.357. The management factors of business operators had an influence on the methods for developing the management of business operators with statistically significant at the 0.05 level. Lastly, a guideline for developing the management of the processed rubberwood business operators should focus on product innovation and development in order to differentiate from competitors both locally and abroad, as well as being able to offer more products matching the needs of the clients, as a way to retain old clients and increase future competitive opportunities.
