The Assessment of International Curriculum on Business Administration of the Private Higher Education Institutions

Abstract

The research article aimed at assessing the international curriculum on business administration of the private higher education institutions by employing the CIPPIEST Model for the assessment. The model comprised 8 aspects, namely, contexts, input factors, production process, products, impacts, effectiveness, sustainability, and knowledge transfer. A sample group was in a total of 569 persons consisting of 100 administrators and personnel, 269 Chinese students, 100 Chinese alumni, and 100 employers of the Chinese graduates. The assessment instrument was a questionnaire with the reliability equal to 0.97. The statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, average, standard deviation (S.D.), and content analysis. The research results revealed as follows: 1) The aspect of context is overall found to have suitability at a high level; 2) The aspect of input factors is overall found to have suitability at a high level; 3) The aspect of production process is overall found to have suitability at a high level; 4) The aspect of products is overall found to have suitability at a high level; 5) The aspect of impacts is overall found to have suitability at a high level; 6) The aspect of effectiveness is overall found to have suitability at a high level; 7) The aspect of sustainability is overall found to have suitability at a high level; and 8) The aspect of knowledge transfer is overall found to have suitability at a high level. From the assessment of the international curriculum on business administration of the private higher education institutions, it can be concluded that all administrators, lecturers, personnel, Chinese students, Chinese alumni, employers of the Chinese graduates have consistent opinions that the international undergraduate program has suitability at a high level.
