A Study of a Cooperative Professional Learning Supervision Model for the Study of Academic Work on Learning Assessment and Evaluation in Basic Educational Institutions in Northeastern Region

Abstract

The research article aimed at studying a cooperative professional learning supervision model for the study of academic work on learning assessment and evaluation in basic educational institutions. The research consisted of the following objectives: 1) to study the current state of learning assessment and evaluation as well as the needs in cooperative professional learning supervision in basic educational institutions in Northeastern region; 2) to study the cooperative professional learning supervision; and 3) to study the academic work on learning assessment and evaluation in basic educational institutions in Northeastern region. The research was divided into 1 phase by studying the current state of learning assessment and evaluation as well as the needs in cooperative professional learning supervision in basic educational institutions and the Educational Service Area Office that had the best practice guideline, in a total of 3 offices. The statistics used for data analysis were percentage, average, standard deviation (S.D.), and content analysis. The research results revealed as follows: 1) From studying the current state of learning assessment and evaluation as well as the needs in cooperative professional learning supervision in basic educational institutions in Northeastern region, it was found that the current state of the learning assessment and evaluation in basic educational institution was at a low level by 62.80%. When studying a cooperative professional learning supervision model for the study of academic work on learning assessment and evaluation in basic educational institutions in Northeastern region, it revealed that the model was called “CoPDA” consisting of 1) cooperative professional learning (Co); 2) supervision of teacher teaching management plan (Plan: P); 3) implementation by doing as well as the observation of teacher’s teaching and giving feedback (Do: D); and 4) the assessment of cooperative professional learning supervision (Assessment: A).
