Abstract

This article aims to study the legislative measures governing the lease of agricultural land. By means of the study on the amendment of the Agricultural Land Lease Act (No. 2), 2016, by analyzing relevant documents and research. It is found that the law of lease of agricultural land has strict rules and conditions, which cause some injustice. For example, landlords try to avoid lease by using partnership method or hiring labors. Also landlords try to avoid letting rent. They tend to abandon and left the lands empty without making any value of the land. For an appropriate approach, the lease should be fair without benefiting the landlord. However, it should provide protection to farmers who rent the land. It is also a way to prevent foreigners from using strategies for illegally renting agricultural land.
