Abstract

This research article entitled Guidelines Developing Elderly's Quality of Life via Community Learning Center. the following purposes. 1) To survey the elderly quality of life in Hua-ngom Subdistrict; 2) To analyze the factors affecting to elderly quality of life; 3) To synthesize the guidelines develping the quality of life based on community-based learning center. This mixed-method research employed quantitative and qualitative approach in order to explore the real phenomenon of the study.  The adapted quality of life indication mini-survey form by UN (Thai Version) was used to collect the data from the elderly sample group. Also, interview and focus group disucssion were implemented with personnel in charge of elderly quality of life development in Hua-ngom Subdistrict. The results revealed that the elderly quality of life was divided into 3 levels: 1) Good refers to socializing elderly; 2) Moderdate refers to home-loving elderly; 3) Deprived refers to immobilized elderly. The factors affecting the elderly quality of life involved 3 areas: 1) Must-know information for the elderly; 2) Should-know information for the elderly; 3) Additional information for the elderly. The guidelines for elderly quality of life based on community learning center involved 5 activities: 1) Compassionate and Care for Elderly; 2) 1-Baht Fund for Disadvantaged Elderly;  3) Volunteer Youth Doctor; 4) Elderly School for Village; 5) Elderly School for Subdistrict. Also, the elderly quality of life promotion and care system should be constructed for future mission.
