The Relation of the Cultural Tourism of Temple and Communities in Lanna

Abstract
This research aims to: 1) study cultural tourism relations of temples and communities in Nan Province, 2) study guidelines for building cultural tourism relations of temples and communities in Nan Province, and 3) analyze cultural tourism management of temples and communities in Nan Province. It is a mixed research by qualitative and quantitative research. Qualitative data was collected by documentary research, in-depth interviews, and focus group discussions. Quantitative data was collected by using questionnaires.
The research’s result was found as follow:
1) Cultural tourism relations of temples and communities in Nan Province: forms of participation of community and people in the area are related and beneficial to each other. It makes tourism more continuous and creates sustainability in tourism.
2) Guidelines for building cultural tourism relations of temples and communities in Nan Province: It consists of 3 elements: development of the dissemination of Buddhist principles, development of knowledge sets and local wisdom of Nan Province; appropriate tourism management for the current social context, the role of the government to manage and support cultural tourism management of temples and communities in Nan Province.
3) Cultural tourism management consists of environmental management, tourism activity management, tourism value management and comfort and safety management. The thing that makes the surfer most satisfied is the management of comfort and safety, followed by management and environment, tourism activity management and tourism value management.
