A Buddhist Psychological Model for Leadership Development of Learning Organization

Abstract
The purposes of this research were 1) to study the leadership development of learning organization according to the principles of Buddhism and psychology, 2) to analyze and synthesize the leadership development of learning organization according to the principles of Buddhism and psychology, and 3) to propose the model of Buddhist Psychology for leadership development of learning organization. Mixed methods research; applied qualitative methods to explain quantitative results was used for research design and was divided into two phases.. Key informants were 5 Buddhist and psychological experts and selected by purposive sampling. Qualitative data was collected by interview form and data was analyzed by using content analysis. With regard to the development of leadership according to the principles of Buddhist psychology affecting the attributes of leadership of learning organization, the results show that these 26 best selected predictive variables had an effect on the attributes of leadership of learning organization, increased at 95.20 percent (Adjusted R2 = .952) with the statistical significance at the level of .05. The developed model of Buddhist Psychology for leadership development had 3 main aspects consisted of Vision with Sappurisa Dhamma 7, mastery with Iddhipada 4 and learning team with Sangahavatthu 4, called “VMT Model”. Results from expert’s opinions indicated that a Buddhist Psychological model for leadership development of learning organization was appropriate for enhancing organization development.
