Development of Effective Academic Administration Model in Primary Schools under the Office of Nakhon Phanom Primary Educational Service Area 1

Abstract

To study the composition of  effective academic administration  model for primary schools and 2)  create the effective academic administration prototype for primary schools under  the Office of Nakhon Phanom Primary Educational Service Area 1. The samples consisted of school directors, assistant school directors, and leaders of learning group  in the academic year of B.E. 2560 (2017) from 155  primary schools: totally 465 samples. Five rating scale questionnaires were used for data collection which were tested for the reliability as the value at 0.893. Data were subsequently analyzed by using the computer program.


The findings were found that:


  1. The results of the study on the actual state and the condition it should be of the effective academic administration model for primary schools under  the Office of Nakhon Phanom Primary Educational Service Area 1 revealed that the actual condition of academic administration with effectiveness in primary schools had the  overall picture at a high level. When considering each aspect, the highest mean was evaluation  and measurement and grade transfer, followed by research to improve the quality of education, supervision of education, counseling, respectively. The aspect with the low mean was development of quality assurance systems and educational standards. The condition it should be of effective academic administration model  in primary schools under  the Office of Nakhon Phanom Primary Educational Service Area 1 as the overall as the highest level. Consideration in each aspect showed that  the highest mean was the development of the learning process, followed by  development of the quality assurance system,  education standard, evaluation and measurement,  grade transfer, supervision, research to improve  quality of education and development and use of media and technology for education, respectively. The low mean was the development and promotion of learning resources.

  2. According to academic administration model which was effective in primary schools under the Office of Nakhon Phanom Primary Educational Service Area 1, there were five main elements, twenty –five supporting components, one hundred and fifty- two  approaches as     1. Element of guidelines for development of educational quality assurance system, 2. Element of guidelines for learning development, 3. Element of developing and promoting learning resources, 4. Element of guidelines for development of media and technology, and 5. Element of guidelines for curriculum development.
