Abstract

The objectives of this research were as follows: to study the state of problems in educational administration; to create the model of educational administration based on Buddhist method; to examine the possibility to apply the model of educational administration based on Buddhist method to the department of general education, Phrapariyattidham Schools Nakhon Si Thammarat. A sample of 9 administrators and specialists were selected by using purposive sampling method. Along with 52 instructors were selected by using simple random sampling method. The instruments in this research are the questionnaire with the reliability of 0.975 and depth interview. The statistics used in the data analysis are frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. There are 2 types of the analysis: Content Analysis and Exploratory Factor Analysis: EFA applied in this research.


The findings were as follows:  1. The results from studying the state of problems in educational administration based on Buddhist method in 4 areas revealed that in the academic administration area, the understanding in academic system is lack, and there is no systematically follow up. Therefore, there is no clarification in the administration. In the personnel administration area shown that the schools lack educational personals who have specialty related to the field. These educational personals also have no stability in their career. For the budget administration area, there is an insufficient in the supporting funds from the government. Therefore, the instructors received low compensation. The administrators also did not clarify the budget to the personals to acknowledge too. Finally, in the general administration area shown that the schools are lack of systematical administration; and lack of promotion to the public. 2. By creating the model of educational administration based on Buddhist, the results shown that there are 5 components in educational administration according to moral principles as follows: 1) Four Iddhippada with 3 components. 2) Wisdom 3 with 2 components. 3) Three studies with 2 components. 4) Four principles virtuous existence with 4 components. 5) Sangkahawatthu 4 with 3 components.  3. After examined the suitability and possibility of the model of educational administration based on Buddhist, the results revealed that there is the highest level of the suitability and possibility to apply the model to the administration.
