Abstract

The objectives of this research are: 1) to study the multicultural context of Wat Khanngoen community, Chumphon Province under the concept of Buddhist Peaceful Means and 2) to analyze the multicultural Way of Wat Khanngoen community in chumporn province according to Buddhist peaceful means. This research is interdisciplinary between a qualitative and field research.
As the result, the multicultural context of the Wat Khanngoen Community in chumporn province is center of trade. There are migrate chinese settle down and living together with the local people. The members of this community believe in relative clan and merit making. Therefore, Wat Khanngoen community is multi-cultural community relies on the various culture. The members live with love and mutul-understanding in
community.
By the study, Wat khanngoen community is community of sharing (Dana), responsibility of duty, help, service, services, and mental supporting. The members in community communicate each other’s with love and understanding (Piyavãcã). In this communicating, they avoid lying. They respect each other, do racism, and no religious parody. The community has creative development for the benefit of happiness (atthacariyã) in order to make happiness for themselves and others. Finally, by the continuity of the relationship, the community has concerned the way of the family (Samãnattatã) in order to tolerate, to accept the others, to see other like relatives, to join activity, to live in harmony, and love like brothers.
