Abstract
This research has the following three objectives, 1) to study the problems of
teamwork of preaching monks at Sisaket buddhist Sangha college, 2) to study the concept
of the Buddhist peaceful means in teamwork in theravada Buddhist texts, and 3) to study
the application of the Buddhist peaceful means to development the teamwork of
preaching monks at sisaket Buddhist Sangha college. This research is a qualitative and field
research.
As the result, firstly, the problems of teamwork can be enumerated as: lack of
understanding the purpose and their roles, lack of coordination, lack of the project
manager, lack ok equipment of training, lack of coordinator. Secondly, the Buddhist
peaceful means of teamwork can be applied in are: Sārānīyadhamma, Mettā-Kāyakamma,
Mettā-Vacīkamma, Mettā-Manokamma, Sādhāranabhogī, Sīlasāmaññata, and Diṭṭhisāmañ-ñ
ata. These are the ways of solving conflict and creating harmony in teamwork.
Furthermore, the attitude of friendship, cooperation, adjusting, and agreement also should
be applied.
Finally, an application of the Buddhist peaceful means of preaching monks at
Sisaket Buddhist Sangha college can be divided into two levels: personal and team
management level. On the personal level, if a monk can adjust his attitude, it will be
helpful and supports cooperation among them. Furthermore, the way of Sārānīyadhamma
encourages and creates guidelines for the preaching monks to work together. They should
work with dedication, sincerity, respecting, and honoring each other. For communicating,
they should take Sammāvācā or Right Speech, good friendship, and public mind. On the
level of team management, monks should set up the fund, publish a manual, stand on
the ideology, propagate the teachings, and evoke society.
