“Ba Worn Santisook Project” : A Participatory Model of Home, Temple, School for promote morality of 12 values , Chiang Mai.

Abstract
This research analyzes the concepts, model, steps, and procedures of the participation of communities, households, and temples in promoting the 12 core values under the Ba Worn Santisook Project. The target groups were monks, local administrators, community leaders, and a group of teachers and students from the Ban Mae Sa School, Mae Sa Sub-District, Mae Rim District, Chiang Mai Province. This research was a combination of qualitative research methods including: documentary research; interviews; group discussion; observation, and participatory research. The findings showed the following. (1) The Ba Worn Santisook Project was conducted based on the concept of proactive Buddhism propagation in the 21st century and adjusted to the context of community and era focusing on the participation of households, temples, and schools. (2) The participatory model of Ba Worn Santisook demonstrated that households, temples, and schools have promoted the 12 core values following their roles and responsibilities under the policies of the National Council of Peace and Order. (3) Guidelines on promoting the 12 core values used in the Ba Worn Santisook Project were mainly comprised of charismatic leadership, voluntarily contributions, group discussions, integral relationship, and sustainable management. These guidelines can be used as an example for interested communities to use in sustainably promoting the 12 core values.
