Way of Managing the Foreign Labors in a Grocery By Buddhist Peaceful Means

Abstract
This research article is aimed to study the conceptual way of managing foreign labors in accordance with Buddhist peaceful means; it is a field-work qualitative research by the tools of a documentary study, and an in-depth interview in 3 groups of interviewees totaling 14 key informants, altogether.
From the research, it is found that: the majority of grocery business hires foreign labors employees as of the shortage of Thai labors, who perceived the grocery work hard and fussy while the foreign ones are patient, and could cope with the hard work; in hiring foreign labors, difficulties occur in the aspects of foreign-labor I.D. card making system, the high turnover of the labors; the way to manage foreign labors of Hia Mote-Jae Nee Grocery is by Buddhist peaceful means, Sangahavatthu, the 4 bases of social solidarity, i.e. giving, using kindly speech, rendering services and proper self-positioning, all of which yields good relationship in the organization, showing business owner’s sincerity and loving-kindness adhering foreign labors’ minds for happiness, and love to the organization. It is concluded as GPSE Model, the new knowledge for managing foreign labors in a grocery: G -Giving for changing quality of foreign labors’ lives, the giving that changes labors’ quality of lives; P - Peaceful speech as the organizational culture, the using of peaceful language to create culture in the grocery; S - Striving for foreign labors’ benefits, the aim to support foreign labors; and E - Equality consisting in impartiality, the equality comprising justice.
