Abstract

This research aimed to 1) study management status of Buddhist Dhamma retreat centers in the United States of America 2) to develop a model for the management of Buddhist Dhamma retreat centers in the United States of America and 3) to propose a model for the management of Buddhist Dhamma retreat centers in the United States of America. These mixed research methods were used in the study. The results of the study
found that:
1. The overview of Buddhist Dhamma retreat centers in the United States of America, most centers lacked effective management, budget, office equipment, personnel, and location.
2. The development of the management of Buddhist Dhamma retreat centers in the United States of America: In management; the centers should set up long-term and short-term plans, have a clear and practical strategy and goal, and specify workload and job description, and design training courses and activities for Thais and local people. In personnel; the qualified personnel with knowledge and characters should be recruited. In location; the location should be reached and accessed comfortably, clean and tidy.
3. The model for the management of Buddhist Dhamma retreat centers in the United States of America consists of the modern management system of 7s McKinsey in strategy planning and Buddhist administration application with 3 guidelines; management system, personnel, and location.
