The Guidelines for the Development of Factory Operations for Entering a Green Business in Loei Province

Abstract
The research article consisted of the following objectives: 1) to investigate the current conditions of factory operation in Loei province; 2) to explore the guidelines for the development of factory operation for entering a green business in Loei province; and 3) to study the correlation between the operating style and the principles of resource utilization with the guidelines for the development of factory operation for entering a green business in Loei province. The study employed a quantitative research method. The sample group included 200 factories in Loei province. The research tool was a questionnaire. The statistics used in the study were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and multiple regression analysis.
From the study, the following results are found: 1) The current conditions of factory operation in Loei province reveal that the majority of entrepreneurs are male, aged 30-40 years old, with a bachelor’s degree, 5-to-10 years of work experience in the factories, and a 1-to-3-year duration of operating the factories. Monthly income from factory operations ranges from 100,000 to 150,000 baht, most of which is from manufacturing. The money investment in the business is between 1,000,000 and 2,000,000 baht. The number of workers in the factories is between 50 and 100 people; 2) The operating style of factories in Loei province is overall at a moderate level. When each aspect is taken into account, the following aspects are found to have the highest level of mean, namely customer relations, followed by main resources, access channels to customers, customer groups, main activities, and the values of products and services, respectively; 3) The principles of resource utilization of factories in Loei province is overall at a moderate level. When each aspect was considered, the following aspects are found to have the highest level of mean, namely the change of mind, followed by reduction in usage, and reusing, respectively; 4) The guidelines for the development of factory operation for entering a green business in Loei province are overall at a moderate level. When each aspect is taken into account, the following aspects are found to have the highest level of mean, namely an environmentally friendly management style, followed by the creation of green products and services, respectively; and 5) The operating style and the principles of resource utilization are positively correlated with the guidelines for the development of factory operation for entering a green business in Loei province, with a statistical significance of 0.05 level.
