Guidelines for the Academic Administration During the COVID-19 Pandemic of Small Schools under the Nakhon Nayok Primary Education Service Area Office

Abstract
The objectives of this research article were: 1) to investigate the level of problems and recommendations for academic administration during the COVID-19 pandemic situations in small-sized schools under Nakhon Nayok Primary Education Service Area Office; and 2) to explore guidelines for academic administration during the COVID-19 pandemic situations in small-sized schools under Nakhon Nayok Primary Education Service Area Office. The study used a mixed-methods approach, which included the following: 1) Quantitative method using 152 teachers from 71 small-sized schools; and 2) Qualitative method involving interviews with four experts. The tool used was semi-structured interview. The statistics used in the study were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, as well as content analysis.
The research results are as follows: 1) Problems and recommendations for academic administration in small-sized schools during the COVID-19 pandemic situations are overall at a high level. When each aspect is examined, the following aspects are discovered with a mean level ranging from high to low: measurement and evaluation, media development and the use of educational technology media, educational supervision, learning process development, school curriculum development, and the development of an internal quality assurance system and educational quality standards; and 2) The guidelines for academic administration in small-sized schools during the COVID-19 pandemic situations are obtained by using each aspect of problems with the highest level of mean to construct the interview questions. The findings indicate that: adjusting the teaching content and indicators, emphasizing students' skills to fit with actual situations, increasing community participation in terms of equipment and venues, offering training to improve teachers on technology equipment, measurement and evaluation should be conducted using various and flexible methods, regular teacher supervision with a focus on increasing teachers' motivation, following up on problem-solving, and the original affiliated agencies should be contacted to clarify the quality insurance report that is suitable for COVID-19 situations.
