Education Management Guidelines for Artificial Intelligence Manpower Development

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to study the preparation of using AI in retail 2) to study AI workforce skills which suit to retail requirements and 3) to propose educational management guidelines for AI manpower development which suit to retail requirements.  This research used quality research method. The data were collected from related documents and expert interviews, with sample size of 24 people, which were selected by purposed sample method. Content analysis was conducted to describe research information by qualitative method.  The education management guidelines were drafted for group discussion and assessment with 16 people by using document record and interview form. The content was analyzed as descriptive information by qualitative method.  Then summarized the research result and drafted the education management guidelines.  After that conducted an assessment critiques by 16 experts using critique question and evaluation form. Then amended the final educational management guidelines.


            The research results were found as following; 1) The preparations for using AI in retail were the preparations as following; personnel, organizational culture, data, organizational processes and software engineering, technology, and investments. 2) The AI workforce skills were hard skills as following; retail, mathematics and statistics, software engineering and programming, data Management, AI and machine learning; and soft skills as following; communication, collaboration and teamwork, creativity and innovation, critical thinking and complex problem solving, lifelong learning, persistence, resilience, accountability, integrity and ethics. 3) The educational management guidelines were following; curriculums and contents, teaching and learning, teachers/instructors, learners, media and learning resources, assessment and evaluation, leadership and contribution of involved sectors.
