Organizational Coordination, Authority, Organization Role, Unity of Command Which Effected on Public Management of Assistance to Disaster Affected Nations

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to study 1) Characteristics of organizational coordination, authority, organization role, unity of command and public management of assistance to disaster affected nations. 2) Influence of organizational coordination, authority, organization role, unity of command which effected on public management of assistance to disaster affected nations. This research used a mixed method of quantitative and qualitative methods. The quantitative research was conducted among 300 practitioner level persons in the public and private sector who worked with assisting disaster affected peoples by using Proportional Stratified Random Sampling. The sample size requirements were 20 times of the observed variables. Data were collected using questionnaires and were analyzed by using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The sample used for qualitative research was comprised of 14 high level relevant executives and experts. Data were collected through in-depth interviews. The results of the study revealed that 1)these persons highly agreed with organizational coordination, authority and unity of command and public management of assistance to disaster affected nations, 2) organizational coordination, authority and unity of command had directly positive influence on public management of assistance to disaster affected nations. The quantitative analysis was by the qualitative analysis. The sample group agreed that public management of assistance to disaster affected nations under the supervision and decision of government was vital. However, it also depended on reconciliation, organizational coordination, clearly dividing authority among team members which created the unity of work and led to the highest efficiency international affair and G to G operation to affected people.
