Who is Vessavana in Buddhist and Hindu Mythologies

Abstract
The purpose of this paper was to study the names, the roles and the important of Vessavana in Buddhist and Hindu Mythologies. Documentary analysis was used to explore an explanation through comparative discussion among the names, the roles and the important of the Vessavana in Buddhist and Hindu Mythologies. The results were reported by descriptive writing indicated that the Vessavana is also recognized as Kubera and Bhaisob. Their roles can be designated in three aspects which are (1) the guardian of religion (2) being the Loka-palas and (3) being the preacher and the saviour. Furthermore, the results of the study pointed out the essence of the Vessavana that no matter what he is called or his role is, he is the archetype of the Buddhist and Hindu doctrines to attain nirvana.
