บทคัดย่อ
บทความวิชาการนี้มุ่งนำเสนอการวิเคราะห์มโนทัศน์เรื่องบ้านและความผูกพันกับสถานที่ที่สัมพันธ์กับการสร้างอัตลักษณ์ทางสิ่งแวดล้อมในวรรณกรรมเยาวชนเรื่อง ร่มไม้หนึ่งซึ่งเราตัวเล็ก ของปันนารีย์ โดยใช้กรอบแนวคิดนิเวศวิจารณ์ (Ecocriticism) ร่วมกับโครงสร้างสามมิติของความผูกพันกับสถานที่ (Place Attachment) ของ Scannell และ Gifford ในการตีความตัวบท การพิจารณาพบว่า วรรณกรรมได้ขยายขอบเขตความหมายของ “บ้าน” จากอาคารที่อยู่อาศัยสู่ระบบนิเวศเชิงบูรณาการที่โอบอุ้มสรรพชีวิต โดยมี “คุณปู่ต้นไม้” เป็นศูนย์กลางในการยึดโยงสายใยทางอารมณ์และจิตวิญญาณ ผ่านกลไกการทำให้ธรรมชาติมีชีวิต (Personification) ซึ่งส่งผลให้ตัวละครเปลี่ยนผ่านจริยธรรมจากมุมมองมนุษย์เป็นศูนย์กลาง (Anthropocentrism) ไปสู่จริยธรรมที่เน้นสิ่งมีชีวิตเป็นศูนย์กลาง (Biocentrism) และนำไปสู่การก่อรูปอัตลักษณ์ทางสิ่งแวดล้อม (Ecological Identity) ที่เข้มแข็ง อย่างไรก็ตาม เมื่อพื้นที่อันเป็นที่รักตกอยู่ภายใต้การคุกคามจากการพัฒนาที่ยึดโยงกับตรรกะทางเศรษฐกิจ ตัวละครต้องเผชิญกับภาวะความทุกข์ระทมทางนิเวศ (Solastalgia) และความไร้อำนาจเชิงนิเวศ (Ecological Helplessness) ซึ่งสะท้อนความเปราะบางของเยาวชนท่ามกลางวิกฤตการณ์ทางธรรมชาติ บทสรุปของบทความชี้ให้เห็นว่าวรรณกรรมเยาวชนทำหน้าที่เป็นพื้นที่ทางปัญญาในการวิพากษ์โลกทัศน์แบบมนุษย์เป็นศูนย์กลาง และเสนอแนวทางการสร้างสายสัมพันธ์ใหม่ที่ยั่งยืนระหว่างมนุษย์กับโลกที่มากกว่ามนุษย์ (More-than-human world)
