บทคัดย่อ
บทความนี้เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของวิทยานิพนธ์เรื่อง "เพลงเหลียว ของชาวจ้วง ในเมืองผิงกั๋ว กวางสี ประเทศจีน" เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาประวัติความเป็นมาของเพลงเหลียว ของชาวจ้วง ในเมืองผิงกั๋ว กวางสี ประเทศจีน โดยใช้ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพและทฤษฎีประวัติศาสตร์และวัฒนธรรม รวบรวมข้อมูลที่เมืองผิงกั๋ว กวางสี ประเทศจีน กลุ่มตัวอย่างประกอบด้วยนักวิชาการ นักแต่งเพลง นักเขียน นักการศึกษา นักร้องและผู้ชม ผลการวิจัยพบว่าก่อนปี 1400 มีตำนานเกี่ยวกับที่มาของเพลงเหลียวมากมาย และเริ่มมีความเป็นรูปแบบมาตรฐานในช่วงปี ค.ศ.1950 และเจริญรุ่งเรืองมากในช่วงนี้ จนถึงปี ค.ศ.1980 เนื่องจากมีความมั่นคงทางการเมืองและเศรษฐกิจ แต่ในปี ค.ศ.1980-2000 มีวัฒนธรรมดนตรีตะวันตกเข้ามาจึงทำให้เพลงเหลียวได้รับความนิยมน้อยลง ทำให้รัฐบาลจีนต้องหาวิธีการในการอนุรักษ์และฟื้นฟู โดยการจัดเทศกาลเพลงพื้นเมืองสำหรับเพลงเหลียว และนำไปบรรจุในหลักสูตรของโรงเรียนในเมืองผิงกั๋ว มณฑลกวางสี การพัฒนาของเพลงเหลียวในมณฑลกวางสีค่อยๆพัฒนาขึ้นจากยุครุ่งเรือง และก้าวเข้าสู่ความเสื่อมถอย หน้าที่ทางสังคมและสถานะของเพลงเหลียวเริ่มอ่อนแอลงเรื่อย ๆ ทำให้เพลงเหลียวต้องการการปกป้องและการสืบทอดอย่างเร่งด่วน
