A Development of Sustainable Business Management Models: A case study of the Sam Sai Nam Bang Muang Women's Community Enterprise, Bang Yai District, Nonthaburi Province

Abstract

This research aims 1) to develop a business management model for sustainability and 2) to study the effectiveness of the business management model for sustainability. The Sam Sai Nam Bang Muang Women's Community Enterprise, Bang Yai District, Nonthaburi Province, is employed as a case study. The sample group used in the study 1) developed the model from a group of 29 key stakeholders and experts in sustainable business development. 2) tested the effectiveness of the model by a community enterprise operating committee of 19 people. For the quantitative analysis, data were collected using tests, questionnaires, and records, and were analyzed using statistics of mean, standard deviation, and Paired samples t-test. Further, the qualitative analysis was applied to conclude the content analysis. The study findings are as follows: 1) The developed model identified the main components of 9 steps with 35 important activities to promote knowledge, skills, and operational potential. 2) The results of the effectiveness test for learning dimensions had a mean score significantly higher than before the experiment at the .05 level. The analysis results showed that the capability aspect was at a good level, with the highest satisfaction. 5) The results of the results of the effectiveness in all 4 aspects resulted in the highest scores. In order from most to least, they were usefulness of the model, accuracy, comprehensiveness, appropriateness, and feasibility of implementation, respectively.  The achievement results of this study reflect the collaborative learning process in developing this model, which helps strengthen and drive the potential of community enterprises towards sustainability.
