Abstract

“Teachership is not a qualification only for teachers but it is also a quality that will greatly benefit everyone and every activity. Graduates from each faculty, each person, all of them have already a strong academic background, should clearly study about being the teacher and self-training to make it happen in mind for the common benefit of our nation and country ..." This research aims to 1) analyze the canonical relationship between the quality of learning management and the teaching efficiency of university teachers. 2) study the relationship pattern of the quality of learning management with teaching efficiency and 3) study factors that together predict becoming a professional teacher of university teachers. The sample consisted of 386 private university students drawn from non-probability sampling in the Social Sciences-Humanities subject group and the Science subject group, years 1-4. The instrument for collecting data was an online questionnaire which has the characteristics of a 5-level rating scale. Data was analyzed with a ready-made program by descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The research results were found as follows;
1. Research results of objective number 1 showed that canonical relationship between learning management quality sets and a set of teaching efficiency of university professors was a very high canonical correlation value (0.922) and was statistically significant.
2. Research results of objective number 2 revealed that canonical weight value between learning management quality variables and the teaching efficiency of university professors was at a moderate level (-0.401 to - 0.507).
3. Research results of objective number 3 found that learning management quality variables and teaching efficiency together predicted the professionalism of university teachers at 79.2% which was at a high level.
The overall results of the research can be summarized as follows: Relationship of learning quality management with teaching efficiency is at a very high level. Canonical variables of teaching effectiveness in term of professionalism of teachers greatly affect the variables of teaching efficiency in the same direction and the quality of learning management and teaching efficiency together predict the professionalism of university professors at a high level.
