Priority Needs of Academic Management Development of Surasakmontree School Based on Concept of Fusion Skills

Abstract

The objectives of this research article were 1) to study the current and desired conditions of academic management development of Surasakmontree School based on the concept of fusion skills and 2) to study the priority needs of academic management development of Surasakmontree School based on the concept of fusion skills. It was quantitative research using academic management concepts and fusion skills as the research framework. The research area was Surasakmontri School. The 107 key informants consisted of 5 Surasakmontri School administrators using purposive sampling and 102 Surasakmontri School teachers using simple random sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire on current and desired conditions. Statistics used in data analysis were mean, standard deviation and needs index.

The research results found that: 1) The current and desired conditions of academic management based on the concept of fusion skills development, overall, were at a moderate and high level, respectively.2) Learning management was at the highest level, followed by evaluation and curriculum development.

          Schools could use the research results (curriculum development, learning management, and evaluation) to plan academic management guidelines to promote learners to have fusion skills.
