Needs and guidelines for welfare provision to support elderly care in Ban Bala community, Kabang district, Yala province

Abstract
This article aimed to study (1) to study the care needs of the elderly and (2) to propose guidelines for welfare provision to support elderly care in Bala Sub-district, Kabang District, Yala Province. The data was collected by semi-structured in-depth interview form and semi-structured interviews with 26 key informants selected by defining characteristics. The qualitative research was conducted by content analysis by categorizing and grouping content issues;
The results showed that people in Ban Bala Community Area, Kabang District, Yala Province, elderly people needed welfare provision in 5 aspects, namely needs for elderly care, education, social, housing and safety, and recreational recreation. The guidelines for the provision of welfare to support the care of the elderly in households in Ban Bala, Kabang District, Yala Province consisted of 4 approaches, namely guidelines for the care of the elderly's physical health, mental health care, social care, and the intellectual health care of the elderly.
The results of the study would lead to the creation of welfare of other community funds in provinces with different community contexts than this time or neighboring provinces. In addition, it had been suggested that the fund should be linked with organizations, agents, and educational institutions with knowledge and resources that were useful to the Fund to participate and support those that were not yet strong.
