Need of Left-Handed Students about Management the Classroom Atmosphere and Supporting the Study Media: Case study of Major Community Development in Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University

Abstract

he objective of this research were as follow: 1) to study need of left-handed students about management the classroom atmosphere and supporting the study media and 2) to study problem and solving guideline. Case study : Major Community Development in Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University. Population were 45 left-handed students of Major Community Development all classes. Sampling were 40 left-handed students of Major Community Development all classes. Limited group’s size by Krejcie and Morgan. Table at aberration level lower 0.05 and randomize simply by drawing lots. Research instrument was questionnaire. Analyzing by statistical package. Statistics to analyze data were frequency, percentage, average and standard deviation. The results of this study were ;
1) Need of left-handed students about management the classroom atmosphere and supporting the study media with the desk and chair of student, the teacher’s table, the bulletin board, the classroom with healthy, the corner of the classroom, the personality of the instructor, teaching behavior of teachers, taking care the students by teacher and classroom interaction. Overview 9 parts in high level and when analyzed each part by priority follow average from much to a bit were as ; the first was tidy the teacher’s table which had high level, the second was tidy the classroom with healthy which had high level, and the last was tactics of taking care the students by teacher had middle level.
2) Problem and solving guideline were as follow : tables and chairs not enough for all students, had many things on the table that could not use something, too narrow classroom had effected to comfort zone, A few of display boards and some display boards had not knowledge, too noisy from construction had annoyed students, some teacher was late, some teacher had not instructed about virtue and ethics to students that had effected about unity, participation activity, friendship. Solving suggestion were as follow ; should provide enough tables and chairs for students, often tidy teacher’s table, tidy corners, keep clean, display boards should had knowledge and update news, teacher should take care students too much more and give chance to consult and transfer the knowledge for students.
