The text is single-spaced; uses a 14-point Times New Roman font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
The text adheres to the stylistic and references requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
For citations and references follow APA7th edition.
Author Guidelines
The Journal of International Buddhist Studies College (JIBSC) is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to the study of Buddhism in its historical, philosophical, cultural, and contemporary contexts. The journal welcomes submissions from scholars, practitioners, and interdisciplinary researchers.
1. Scope of the Journal
The journal publishes original research articles, academic articles (but not limited to:

2. Submission Guidelines
2.1 Manuscript Types
- Research Articles: 5,000–8,000 words (excluding references) - Academic Articles: 4,000–6,000 words
2.2 Language - Manuscripts must be written in clear, academic English. - Pali, Sanskrit, Chinese, Tibetan, or other terms should be italicized and accompanied by diacritics when appropriate.
2.3 Formatting - Font: Times New Roman, size 12, double-spaced. - Page numbers must appear at the bottom right. - Headings should follow a clear hierarchy (e.g., 1, 1.1, 1.1.1). - Quotations longer than 40 words should be indented.
2.4 References The journal follows the Chicago Manual of Style (author-date system), effective from Vol. 12, No. 1 (2026), unless otherwise specified. - Example (in-text): (Gethin 1998, 45) - Example (bibliography):

2.5 Submission Process
- Manuscripts should be submitted in Word format (.docx). - A separate file with the author’s name, affiliation, email, and a 100–150-word bio must be included. - An abstract of 200–250 words and 4–7 keywords must accompany the manuscript.
3. Peer Review Process - All manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review. - Initial editorial screening checks scope, quality, and originality. - Two anonymous reviewers evaluate the manuscript’s scholarly contribution, methodology, and clarity. - Review outcomes: "accept", "minor revisions", "major revisions", or "reject". - The review process typically takes 8–12 weeks.
4. Publication Ethics
Authors are expected to:
- Submit only original work that has not been published elsewhere. - Properly cite sources and avoid plagiarism. - Disclose any conflicts of interest. - Ensure research involving human subjects (e.g., interviews) complies with ethical standards.
5. Copyright and Open Access
- Authors retain copyright but grant JIBSC the right of first publication. - Articles are published under a Creative Commons license (CC BY-NC 4.0), allowing non-commercial use with attribution.
