The Language Strategies of Humor in Isan Kom Tales Online

Abstract

The objective of this article is to study strategies for using language in creating jokes in Isan Kom Tales Online. The data used in the study included Isan Kom Tales Online, only published via YouTube channel (YouTube), Selected from video clips presented in the form of the Isan series. It is the creative work of Twin Khaokreua and Wichian Tha-in by applying the conceptual framework of humorous strategies as a guideline for analysis and interpretation. The results of the study of language strategies to create jokes in the Isan Kom Tales Online There were a total of four language strategies, which were 1) strategies for using ambiguous speech, 2) strategies for using bifurcated speech, 3) strategies for using sarcastic speech, and 4) strategies for using speech. Implicit The aforementioned way of using language is a great narrative that evokes humor from jokes.
