Abstract

This article presents an approach to enhancing human capital potential through the integration of Human Resource Development (HRD), Strategic Human Resource Management (SHRM), and Buddhist Psychology. The proposed approach emphasizes holistic human development by addressing both external dimensions, including skills, competencies, and productivity, and internal dimensions, including mental well-being, mindfulness, wisdom, and psychological resilience. The conceptual framework incorporates key Buddhist principles, namely Mindfulness, the Four Bases of Success (Iddhipāda IV), the Four Sublime States (Brahmavihāra IV), and the Seven Virtues of a Good Person (Sappurisadhamma VII). These principles serve as important mechanisms for enhancing adaptability, stress management, and lifelong learning capabilities. The integration of human resource development, strategic human resource management, and Buddhist psychology contributes to balanced human development by strengthening both professional competencies and inner capacities. This approach supports sustainable human capital development within the Thai social context by fostering competent, resilient, ethical, and adaptable individuals who are capable of responding effectively to rapid social and economic changes.
