Guidelines for the development of the Student Care and Support System operations of extralarge Primary Schools in Mueang District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, Under Nakhon Ratchasima Primary Educational Service Area Office 1

Abstract

This research aimed to (1) study the current situation, desired situation, and needs of the student care system operation in extra-large primary schools in Mueang District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, Nakhon Ratchasima Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, and (2) study the guidelines for developing the student care system operation in extra-large primary schools in Mueang District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, Nakhon Ratchasima Primary Educational Service Area Office 1. This research Mixed method research. The sample size was determined by comparing Krejci and Morgan's tables, using purposive selection and stratified random sampling. The sample consisted of 210 school administrators and teachers, 18 school administrators, and 198 teachers. The study instrument was a 5-level rating scale questionnaire with a dual-response format. The discriminant power for each item was between 0.35 and 0.87, with a reliability of 0.97. Semi-structured interviews were conducted, and an appropriateness and feasibility assessment form were used. The statistics used for data analysis included frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. and use the Modified Priority Needs Index (PNImodified) technique to prioritize the needs and analyze the content (Content Analysis).    

            The research results found that (1) the current condition of the development of the student care system of extra-large primary schools in Mueang District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, Nakhon Ratchasima Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 was at a high level overall ( = 4.04). When considering each aspect, it was found that all aspects were at a high level. The aspect with the highest mean value was knowing students individually ( = 4.03), and the aspect with the lowest mean value was prevention and problem solving ( = 4.05).
